New Product Reviews for March

Sometimes you just get a craving that can’t be satisfied without giving in.  Being gluten and dairy free makes this quite a challenge, but with the help of the internet, you can indulge.

I’ve ordered some new products from, and I would like to share my reviews with you.

I am finding more and more that when I eat pre-packaged baked goods that I am getting an upset stomach.  Even after reading the label and checking for gluten, honey, agave and dairy, I still have issues.  I may have to stop buying these items and make my own.

I find that lately the gluten free waffles I was eating are giving me stomach problems.  I have had to stop eating them.

That being said, here are some new products I have tried with my opinions on them.

I was very excited to find the first product-Daiya Cheezy Mac.  I really miss Mac and Cheese-I have tried to make it with shredded Go Veggie Cheddar but it is not the same.  I was also very wary as these things are not always as appetizing as they appear.  I was pleasantly surprised.  You cook the pasta, then add the cheese sauce, much like Kraft Mac and Cheese.  Ok, it’s not Kraft, but it satisfied my craving. I read about this in a news article and frankly would never had known it existed until I read about it.  I picked the white cheddar variety, but it also comes in yellow cheddar.  I would definitely recommend this.

I have eaten bagel chips before, but not for a very long time.  These are really true to the real thing.  They are really hard though, so watch your teeth!

I really love stuffing.  I miss Stovetop stuffing-this comes really close.  Yes, cornbread stuffing is ok, but sometimes I want bread stuffing.  I have made stuffing with gluten free bread, but it must be toasted in the oven first or it disintegrates.  I add sausage and apple to this and it is really good.

I love Katz’s donuts-these are the “donut hole” versions.  You just pop them in the microwave for a few seconds-donut nirvana!

Lastly, Vanilla wafers and chocolate macaroons.  These vanilla wafers taste like the real thing.  Alas, the macaroons are a little dry.  The original flavor ones I bought a couple of months ago were more moist.  Not sure why these are so dry, but they still taste pretty good.

You can see that I have quite a sweet tooth-it is my downfall.  Perhaps one of these days I will give all of this up and go paleo.  It would certainly be better for my health, but I am not ready for that yet.

If you have any questions on any of these products, feel free to contact me.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this post. Choosing gf products is so tricky and gets a bit expensive trying different things… I love that you found donut holes! I haven’t had donuts in like 8 years! I might try those! Yum!
